Rules
General rules
* Entering the premises of Witów Ski Station means you accept the Rules and Regulations.
* By purchasing a magnetic swipe card you accept the Witów-Ski Rules and Regulations for Cards and Ski Lifts.
* The Ski Station is open between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
* Please behave in such a way as not to put the safety and health of others at risk.
* Please follow the Rules and Regulations, signs, and our staff’s instructions.
* Dogs can be brought to Witów Ski Station as long as they are muzzled, kept on a lead, and under constant supervision of the owner.
* It is forbidden to bring animals to ski routes and facilities of Witów Ski Station.

Using Witów Ski lifts and ski routes
* Ski lifts and routes can be used during the opening hours of Witów Ski Station on the basis of a swipe card.
* It is forbidden to use the ski routes outside the opening hours of the Ski Station.
* It is forbidden to use the lifts when intoxicated, as is bringing objects that might put the safety of other users at risk.
* Ski routes can only be entered in designated places.
* It is forbidden to walk or sledge on ski routes (except for the ski tow route).
* Please ski carefully. Mind other skiers and take the weather conditions into account.
* If you require any further information, do not hesitate to ask a member of our staff.
* Getting on or off ski lifts is only allowed in designated places.
* If the lift stops, please remain calm and wait for it to resume or for further instructions from the staff.
* Please follow the Rules and Regulations of using Swipe Cards. If you fail to swipe your card when entering, your card may be taken away by the staff and you will not be eligible for a refund of your deposit and of any Ski Points left on the card.
* It is forbidden to organise skiing courses (other than Jagna Marczułajtis’ School), advertise, distribute leaflets, or conduct any type of business activity without prior consent from the Manager of Witów Ski Station.
* If you fail to comply with the Rules and Regulations of Witów Ski Station, you may be asked to leave the premises.

Rules and Regulations for Swipe Cards
1. Ski lifts can only be used after purchasing a magnetic swipe card.
2. Swipe cards are available from the ticket office of Witów Ski Station.
3. A swipe card is valid for the current skiing season.
4. Your swipe card can be handed back before the end of the winter season. Your deposit will be refunded, as will (in the case of a Point Card) any Ski Points that have not been used up.
5. You can choose between Point Cards and Time Cards.
6. Time Cards are not refundable or exchangeable under any circumstances (including unfavourable weather conditions etc.), so please consider your options well before buying.
7. Only Point Cards are refundable!!!
8. The deposit for either type of cards is 15 PLN. It will be refunded upon the return of the card.
9. Damaged cards shall not be accepted back or refunded.
10. Only one cardholder can use a Time Card. When swiped at the card reader, the card is locked for a pre-defined period of time.
11. If you are not entitled to a reduction but purchase a reduced-price swipe card, it may be invalidated.
12.There are card readers at the gates. The gate will open after you swipe your card.
13.Please be careful not to double swipe the card – do not hold it close to the card reader too long.
14. Your card is best kept in a convenient and easily accessible place, preferably on your ski-pass.
15.When the gate opens after a card has been swiped, only one person is allowed to pass.
16.After swiping the card, you will hear a sound signal, which means you can pass through the gate and on to the platform.

Abbreviated rules and regulations of using the chairlift
1. A maximum of 4 people can use one chair simultaneously.
2. Getting on and off is only permitted at designated places.
3. When the ride begins, please close the bar immediately.
4. When approaching the destination station, open the bar, get off onto the platform and move on.
5. Skis and snowboards should be kept parallel to the travel direction, so that they do not get in the way of other passengers, or collide with the chairlift parts.
6. Children shorter than 1.25 m can only be transported on a separate seat, under the supervision of an adult.
7. Physically or mentally disabled persons are only allowed to use the chairlift when accompanied by their carers.
8. While the lift is on the move, it is forbidden to lean out, swing the chair, get up, or open the bar.
9. If the lift stops mid-way, remain calm and wait for it to resume, or for further instructions from our staff.
10.Secure any loose ends of your clothing (strings, tapes, scarves etc.) to prevent them catching on elements of the chair.
11.The chairlift is not suitable for transporting people in wheelchairs.
12. In case of any doubts, do not hesitate to ask our staff for further explanations.
13. For the sake of your own security, please follow these rules and regulations!

Extended rules and regulations of using the chairlift
1. Getting on and off is only permitted at designated places.
2. Please queue up to pass through the gates.
3. After swiping the card, you will hear a sound signal, which means you can pass through the gate and on to the platform.
4. Do not sit in the chair before instructed to do so by a member of our staff.
5. Up to four people can use a single chair set.
6. The chairlift can only be used by children taller than 1.25m.
7. Young children can only use the lift when supervised by their carers.
8. It is forbidden to take animals on board.
9. Hand luggage of up to 10kg, as well as your sports equipment (one set of skis and poles, or a snowboard) can be taken with you on board.
10. Getting on and off is only allowed in designated places.
11. Please keep your skis and snowboards parallel to the travel direction. Ski poles should be held together in one hand.
12. It is forbidden to sit in chair with a rucksack on. Luggage must be kept on your lap.
13. Using the lift is only allowed with your skis on. Do not carry your skis in your hands.
14. When a chair approaches, sit in it and close the safety bar.
15. While the lift is on the move, it is forbidden to lean out, swing the chair, get up, or open the bar.
16. When approaching the destination station, open the bar with one hand.
17. Get off the lift at the designated place and leave the platform immediately.

Rules and regulations – using the ski tow
1. In order to use the ski tow, purchase a swipe card.
2. Only one person is allowed to use one t-bar at a given time.
3. After passing through the entrance and validating your ticket, please wait at the queue-up gate.
4. Hold your ski poles in one hand. Do not keep them suspended by the strap.
5. Move straight ahead along the track.
6. Do not let go of the t-bar before the end of the ride.
7. Leave the platform in the designated direction.
8. It is forbidden to continue the ride beyond the destination platform.

How to behave on the slope
1. While skiing or snowboarding, please mind your own safety, as well as the safety of other people on the slope.
2. Adapt your speed to your skills, type and condition of the ski route, and the weather conditions.
3. You can overtake either on the left or right-hand side, but please do it cautiously and keep a safe distance from the person you are overtaking.
4. Please avoid stopping on the slope, especially in narrow spots and where visibility is limited.
5. If you need to walk up or down the slope, please do so on the side of the route so as not to get in the way of other skiers and snowboarders.
6. Follow the instructions on the signs along the ski route.
7. In the case of an accident, you should try to help the injured person and call the emergency service.
8. In the case of an accident, the perpetrator, the injured and any witnesses present should leave their names and contact details with the emergency service staff.
9. Please only use the designated routes for skiing and snowboarding. Look out for hydrants, snow cannons and other devices.
10. If you ski/snowboard outside of designated routes, you do so at your own risk.
11.All users of Witów Ski Station lifts are required to follow our Rules and Regulations.

Further information for users of Witów Ski Station
1. Your safety is supervised by Witów Ski Station security staff and TOPR (the Tatra Mountains Emergency Rescue Service), whose emergency station is located at the top station of the lift.
2. Witów Ski Station is monitored with CCTV cameras.
3. The magnetic swipe cards can be used both for the chairlift and for the t-bar lift.
4. The cards can only be purchased and returned at Witów Ski Station ticket offices.
5. There are two types of swipe cards: Time Cards and Point Cards. The deposit for a card is 15 PLN and it is refunded upon the return of the card.
6. A Time Card can only be used during pre-defined hours or days, and only by one person. The number of rides per a Time Cards is unlimited.
7. A Point Card can be used by more than one person – a pre-defined number of points is charged off the card each time you pass through the gate. Your Point Card can be topped up with more points. The card can be returned at the ticket office.
8. A Point Card is valid for the whole skiing season.
